We are delighted to officially introduce our new general secretary – putting a face to the name as the countdown for our 130th anniversary show begins!
Helen grew up on a farm in North Cumbria and now lives at Catterlen with her husband Tom and son Joseph, where they run a dairy farm. She works as an independent agricultural consultant, specialising in agronomy and sustainability across the livestock supply chain, and also runs a pick-your-own flower farm, Wild Acres, at Newton Reigny.
Helen said she is delighted to be joining the committee and supporting the show team in delivering “one of the best days in the rural calendar”.
Nina Oxley, Chairman added: “We are delighted to welcome Helen as our new Secretary. She is well known across the local farming community, is highly organised and brings a wealth of experience that will be a real asset to the show.”
