Horticultural Classes
Due to the show now being held in early July the horticultural classes have had to be modified. The proposed classes can be viewed here.

FARMERS BALL
The annual farmers ball will be held on Friday 7 November 2008 at Penrith Golf Club from 7pm. Tickets for a hot roast beef dinner and disco are available NOW from the treasurer Mrs B Bargh on 01768 464314 - closing date 24 October 2008.

CHANGE OF SHOW DATE
Following problems with the weather in recent years and in acknowledgement that farming seasons are changing, the committee have decided to move the date of the show from the third Saturday in August to the first Saturday in July. The 2009 show will therefore be held on SATURDAY 4 JULY 2009. Plans are well advanced to offer a show with a new date, new feel and new opportunity. Details of our exciting plans will be published shortly - in the meantime note the date.

17/08/2008 SUCCESSFUL SHOW IN THE END

Despite all the trials and tribulations of last week we were rewarded for having the courage to put on the show last Saturday with ideal show weather - dry with some sun but plenty of cloud to keep the temperature down. Despite having no horses and a smaller crowd than normal we held a most successful show with a really good atmosphere around the park. Thanks to all exhibitors and sponsors who despite all the odds stuck our decision and provided plenty for everyone to do and see. Also thanks to the 5000 members of the public who turned out to support us - full details of all prize winners are included on the results page
